Welcoming Light, The Institute is a not-for-profit agency founded in 1997 for the purpose of providing in-house education for Partnership for Successful Living employees as well as to sponsor seminars, conferences and other forms of training on mental health issues, counseling, computers and other areas of public interest.

Room Uses

The Institute serves as a resource for the Greater Nashua Community by providing a site for meetings sponsored by state agencies and other New Hampshire entities.  A variety of free or low-cost workshops are open to the community on topics such as: Tenant’s rights, Financial Planning, Nutrition and Healthy Cooking.

Welcoming Light also hosts annual community events such as the Partnership Thanksgiving Dinner, Project Homeless Connect, Project Employment Connect and the Stand Down for Homeless Veterans. These events are for homeless and underprivileged individuals and families in all of the Greater Nashua area, including Milford, Hollis, Hudson, Merrimack, Manchester, Amherst, Litchfield and Brookline.

Subject Matter Experts

We offer access to experts in mental health issues, HIV/AIDS, housing, homelessness, drug and alcohol dependency, health care, grant writing, public communications, and more.

The Institute is focused on providing the training supports required by all nonprofit agencies to be more effective and efficient at their jobs. During a typical week, the Institute offers trainings on topics ranging from substance abuse and mental health issues to computer skills training.

Welcoming Light -The Institute is conveniently located in downtown Nashua off Main Street in walking distance from The Peddler’s Daughter, Martha’s Exchange, Villabanca, The Amber Room, Surf and other local restaurants.  Our training and conference rooms are ideally suited for your off-site meeting requirements.  Downtown Nashua is also easily accessible from nearby Merrimack, Hudson, Milford and Hollis, and offers a central business meeting spot.
